My arms are tired from holding space

I’m an intuitive reader. I help people move through emotional blocks. When I start a session, I really have no idea what’s going to happen for the next hour. I have to trust that my intuition will guide us where we need to go. I’ve gotten used to it. I’ve been doing it for a long time. But, I’ll admit, it can be a little stressful. Basically, you have to hold down those wild thoughts like, “What are you doing!” and “What if nothing happens!” And keep going.

I realized recently that we all do this. This is how we create. We “open a space” and hold the wild thoughts at bay long enough for something to manifest. It’s like keeping the weeds out of the garden so the food can grow.

I’m doing it right now. I was given six months rent free to change my life. Or at least significantly change the course of my life. I’m three months in and I’m getting a little tired from “holding” the space. Those wild thoughts REALLY want to come in. The panic, the fear, the doubts. But I’m holding. The saying Keep Calm and Carry On comes to mind.
