Did you bring in the new year with too much partying? Maybe not, but the energy at the beginning of the month feels a lot like a hangover. Grogginess. Lack of clarity. Unfocused. And that’s okay. Take it as a vacation for your brain. Shut it down, give it a rest and stop worrying.
Sometimes letting go is just the thing. The energy at the beginning of the month is a bit like a riptide. 2018’s energy is pulling on us making it difficult to move forward. There’s no point in trying to swim against it. Give in. Let go. And when you reach calmer waters – mid-month – resume swimming down shore.
Last year was an “11” (2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 11) in numerology. This year we move on to the number 3 (2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 1 + 2 = 3) which is about creativity. But we can’t forget that it follows an 11 year. Which means that whatever we take on creatively in 2019 comes from the entirety of our life experience. This year we’re meant to take everything we’ve learned to a new level.
With the energy from 2018 drawing us back, now is not the time to try and have those creative breakthroughs that are possible this year. Allow yourself to float for a while. Toward the end of the month you’ll start to feel like you can focus in the direction you want to go.
This year promises to be a year of change – mostly in our perspective, in how we see our lives. For the last while there’s been an element of survival at play – like being in the throes of the riptide. Once we move out of the grasp of that energy, the sun will come out and a lightness will return.
